More Pictures!

Well, I finally took a moment to snap some shots. They are not exactly what I was looking for, but they will do. I just figured they didn't all need to be cookie cutter shots, they could have their own personality. This shot is especially for McKinlee. She loves Kung Fu Panda, but she insists on calling it Panda Funa Panda, so when her Grandma Tam gave Joni this outfit, I just couldn't resist. This ones for you McKinlee! I also thought it might be kind of cute because she also insists that she has a new baby sister and you guessed it! Her name is Joni Ann. That's o.k. we would take McKinlee as a sister any day! Love you tons McKinlee!

Newborn Pictures

Did I say that taking pictures of your own newborn was easy? Well, I found out it is not so easy. It is very easy to have someone else there calming the baby while you get them into position and then click. These are not that wonderful b/c we are just trying to get the bare minimum!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

If you can take a close look, Logan has a nice shiner! He was out back playing with Justin's bullwhip and took a pop to the eye! Then he comes in and says to Justin and I "Look at my eye! Does it look swollen? I don't know what happened! It just swelled up!" Then the questioning began - "Does it hurt, Did you feel anything?" Typical questions. Then the tattletales, Carson and Monte, came clean. They told us blow by blow what happened. Funny how Logan thinks! So we were teasing Logan that he had his makeup on for St. Patrick's Day, because it is black and green!

This morning when the boys got up Carson already had his shirt and then Logan needed to find his hat to wear for the ocassion. This is what they came up with for their attire for the day! Carson was giving his expression if he gets pinched! Classic Carson!

Monte, Joni and I also joined the wearin' o' the green. Joni's only green in a sea of pink was her green binki! (Barely visible in the picture)

Signs of Boredom?

I was on the phone this morning and I looked over to the table where Monte was busy coloring. I noticed when he held up his hand that his fingernails were - COLORED! Now, my first thought was that he was bored, but he quickly corrected me and let me know that he just wanted his fingernails painted like McKinlee! Now, Aunt Cari, who is being an example to whom? He said that black is a boy color so it was o.k. that he painted his fingernails. I don't know, I think this ga-ga over girl stuff might be going a little overboard! He did go wash them off as soon as he got off the phone with his dad! Let's hope Justin can be that persuasive when our boys want to get their ears pierced or any other action that might not be acceptable in our home! :-)

The babysitter falls asleep

They must be made for each other! I am not sure who fell asleep first, Monte or Joni? Too bad I couldn't find a way to do this everyday and then I might get a minute of rest as well. I have decided I am not going to have too high an expectation. For the last three days I have been able to post, but just when I think I have something down into a routine, it gets blown out of the water! So I have committed to only taking each day and accomplishment at a time and appreciate those moments when it seems like everything is going great! Monte constantly wants to hold his precious little sister and so far, it is looking like she doesn't mind having him hold her.
They are making a lot of progress on the bedrooms in the basement! Yay! Once they are finished with the bedrooms and bathroom, we can start sorting through the mounds of boxes that are still yet to be unpacked and placed. Maybe I should just leave them packed and if I don't use them in the next six months, just take the whole box to the D.I. trailer! Fat chance, huh!

Joni had her first visit to the chiropractor! She was all kinked to one side and so we decided she might be more comfortable after an adjustment. Thank heavens Dr. Hoover is so good with babies! He had her straightened out in no time at all. While we were in Evanston, we got to see Aunt Cari, McKinlee, Aunt Linda, Lilly and Grandma! What fun we had! Lilly loved seeing Monte and felt the urge to give him lots of hugs and kisses. McKinlee was also very excited to see "Aunt Kristi and Monte" and still insists that Joni is her sister - How Adorable!! Here is a video of Lilly giving Monte all the love he needs - Enjoy!

Time for Hobby

O.K. so how I ever convinced myself into thinking that I would EVER have time to take pictures of my own newborn is beyond me! I was hoping to do lots of portraits and I am finding that it doesn't quite work as easily as someone coming over to have pictures done. Maybe this week I will be a little more put together so that I can do some more! Enjoy!
