More Pictures! And stories

More fair highlights!
Monte, in the height of his glory! Surrounded by friends, watching horses work and holding his ROPE! There might even be a cute girl with him, oh wait, that isn't Carson we are talking about here.

Monte said he wanted to do the goat tie! Shocking b/c I didn't know he knew how to. I think he was just desperate to be included. What a nice lady! She got down and helped him get it tied. She could see after the first two minutes that he wasn't in to win, just for the experience. :)

Oh how we LOVE to see Kinlee Sue! Not sure how much Joni loves to see her, especially when she gets the choke hold on her and it keeps getting tighter and tighter! Can you tell that Joni is starting to get a little nervous about the hands creeping closer to the neck?

Thanks Grammy and Grandpa for coming up to see the boys participate in the horse show! Joni's first camping trip! Doesn't she look adorable and somewhat like a newborn with her cute little beanie hat on!
The whole time I was fixing breakfast, she just kept leaning her head over on Justin's arm and looking up at him, like "Oh my, what a long night that was! I am still exhausted!"

Yes, I understand these are a little late, but doesn't the saying go "Better late than never"! These are her five month shots that I did at least a month ago! Background compliments of Grandma Red and her beautiful yard! Let's hope she becomes as photogenic as McKinlee! I still wish I would take more time to get those precious moments with her and her brothers, oh wait, it does help when you have willing particpants! Hint, hint - that means you brothers!

Which one is your favorite?

I LOVE the new actions I have found to run in Photoshop!

Gallery of Latest Events

So here he is in all his glory! Carson in the outpatient room waiting for "the Gown". They treated him so good! Even brought him a warm blankie!

I see "GRADUATION PICTURE" written all over this! Wouldn't you agree?
At least "First Date"
Waiting and waiting and WAITING! Love the little hospital booties!
One last time to hold his little sister. Aaahh such a loving moment! Look how proud and happy he is just to sit and hold her. This is after surgery. Justin trying to wake him up by scaring him with a PUKE bag on his head! No puke included of course! :) He was SUCH a trooper. He didn't cry or throw up during recovery. They said he would be like a little bearcat when he was waking up and this was the position and attitude he kept the whole time! I was completely amazed! I love this little man! He is the easiest sick child we have so far!How many times do you think the surgical clinic has had a child ask to wheel THEMSELVES out to the car after surgery! Like I said, the easiest sick child EVER! The funniest thing he would do is go into our bedroom in the morning and get the tote of movies out from under our bed and get five or six movies out and take them to the living room and pile them on the floor by the couch. Then he would proceed to say, in kindest tone "Boy, wait till Logan sees that I get to just lay here and watch ALL these movies!"
Sidenote: When a child gets their tonsils out, what do they look the most forward to? Endless ice cream, popsicles, soup, pampering! Right!?!
- WRONG! Carson is begging and pleading for lasagna, steak, spaghetti or the very least a JUICY HAMBURGER!
All the things he CANNOT have for at least two weeks. So we proceed to promise that when he is healed he can choose wherever he would like to go and celebrate.
Our suggestion - Golden Corral
After pondering and weighing the options -
His suggestion - Rodizio Grill!
Needless to say, that request is still pending! But he has enjoyed LOTS of the tomato covered pasta, steaks and JUICY Hamburgers!
What a kid!
His friend Ceci brought him a get well gift - Hermit crabs with the WHOLE setup! He got to take care of her hermit crabs while she was gone on vacation. It was love at first sight! So she thought it would make a perfect get well gift! And it did!
Sidenote: They are even still alive! At least four weeks later! Thanks Rita and Ceci!
Now, the big news! Joni started eating rice cereal! I didn't even take a week to contemplate about it! I just found myself mixing pear juice and rice cereal, then trying to get her to eat it before I even realized what I was doing! She is not the biggest fan of it.
Sidenote: Still three weeks later she is still not in love with this kind of food!
Still just loves the plain 'ol milk!
How can you NOT spoil this adorableness! Logan and Carson, standing around waiting for their names to be called next! It was a hot day!
As I look at this picture, I am still trying to figure out if Carson is trying to cheat during the halter class horse show. Can you cheat by looking under your brothers horse at the next horse to see if you set yours up correctly? What IS he looking at? Or does he just have to go to the bathroom? Maybe he was looking for the judge? Who knows about our little donkey in his own Carson world!

Is "Behinder" a word?

I am not sure if it is correct English to say that I am get more Behinder! I tried to download some pictures and it wouldn't work, so here is a run down of what has been happening:
Oneida County Fair-
Logan got Reserve Champion on the Working Horse section of Working Ranch and goes to State Fair; He SMOKED everyone else at the Flag Race on Saturday at the Junior Buckaroo Rodeo on Saturday 11 SECONDS! And the closest anyone else got was 13 seconds!
Carson loved every minute of his showing experience and got First Place on the Dummy Roping in the Junior Buckaroo Rodeo on Saturday.
Monte so many fun new friends, he just couldn't get enough! He also did the Hide Race for the very first time and when Justin rode back to pick him up when he ran back to get his hat, Justin asked "Well, are you ok? - Did you have fun?" Monte replied "THAT WAS A RUSH!" With the biggest grin on his face!

We went camping overnight when Justin had to go preg check some cows. The boys LOVED the tent. Joni and I slept in the suburban because I wasn't sure if she would stay warm enough in the tent.

School began today and so Monte was really in need of a friend, so we went and got his little friend Sarah who will be joining us for a pre-K preschool in two weeks, for this school year.

We have been picking zucchini by the buckets and tomorrow is the day that we will pickle some and turn some more of it into relish!

We have gone swimming in three different FUN outdoor pools!

Carson went to a friends birthday party camp out.

Carson got his tonsils out and is completely recovered-The only child in the world who was so disappointed that the only food he could eat was ice cream, popsicles and soup! Carson's constant plea "PLEASE! Can't I just have some lasagna or a steak or at least just a juicy hamburger! PLEASE!"

Joni had her 5 month pictures done! :-)

Logan went to scout camp for the first time!

. . . And the list goes on. So hopefully after the zucchini is bottled and the beets are pickled I can get some pictures posted, because they tell a lot more of the story than just the boring old words!

So, I decided on a whim that "What the heck! Doesn't hurt to sign up and do this just for fun!" When I saw this giveaway from one of my favorite spots http://www.iheartfaces.blogspot.com/ I have been asking around about a good all around lens and gotten some response, but here is one I could have a shot at if I win this giveaway!
This would be a great lens to try out on my camera! So I entered and we will see what happens!
