Seriously! What does it take for me to post to our blog? A new baby? Somebody should fire our blog poster! :) Maybe I can get the other posts published sometime in the near future! But for now, here is our newest addition! Layni Rose Ellis born November 5, 2010 7 lbs 14 oz - 20 inches. Some of her first pictures, more to come with the rest of the kids!
11/7/2009 Monte asked if they were ever going to have another "carnivore" at Carson's school. This question comes one week after the Halloween "carnival". When asked why he wanted another "carnivore", his response was "I just want to do that one thing where you can win a cake." Aha moment - Oh, the cake walk at the Halloween Carnival. :-) 9/28/2009 Monte saw Logan this past week dressing up for different days at school. One of the days was "Hero Day". Tonight on the way home from the grocery store, Monte was sitting in the backseat of the suburban with Joni. He was laying his head down on her in her carseat. Then he says: "Mom, I know if Joni dressed up for hero day, she should dress up like me because I am her hero!" AAAWWW-HOW SWEET! ___________________________________________ Monte informs me this morning that he is no longer going to be my servant after I ask him to do something. Conversation: Mom-What do you do as my servant? Monte-EVERYTHING! Mom-If you won't be my servant anymore, what are you going to do? Monte-Be a dad! Oh, the advice I have for him! So, to Monte's future wife-Have fun using him as YOUR servant! :-)

We were school shopping and he found some boots that had the gold toe cap on it. Monte-Hey, look I could get these boots! Then I could be a king!

Carson-isms
November 22, 2009 Carson was doing dinner dishes and he says, "I am allergic to this- soap and doing dishes. My arms are itching and I am blushing death." _____________________________________________ We were school shopping and Carson and Monte found some heavy duty suspenders. Conversation: Carson-Monte, look at these great suspenders Monte-Whoa! Those are cool Carson procedes to clip them onto his pants, bear in mind they were half folded up in a cardboard package Carson-Well look! They fit! Maybe if I grow just a tich, I can buy them when we come back next year school shopping!
Daddy's Little Girl

Tiniest Ellis Feet
Finally, "Whoa! What big hands and feet she has!" were not the first words we heard after delivery
